Are we good now? Real talk I don't see the purpose in world exiting, maybe I'm not meant to, maybe there isn't a purpose. But on a human level outside of all of this crap there's no reason to. And what happened to zmzm.pw? Thanks
Haven’t been writing for zmzm.pw bc I haven’t been into esoterica much lately bc I’ve gotten too far from everyone I used to enjoy talking with about it. Substack is the place for world-entered writing lol
The reason to? Because it’s easy. Idling in untroubled ease as Zhuangzi would say. The appeal of being useless. I think the major thing is how it’s disconnected from power. You’re not pushed and pulled by superhuman currents - capital, evolution, optimization, Landian and Kafkaesque forces of all sorts. But that’s probably why it always feels “contrary”; bc it is, to everything powerful and right and good and lively and legal.
World exit isn’t necessarily suicide, though it could be. It could also just be living in some third tier city on a farm with my gf even though all her rural family members have always wanted her to go to the big city
It seems especially nowadays there’s not so much one “the world”, in the sense my banker and lawyer aunts and uncles in China couldn’t have dinner with my tech startup friends in SF and talk about “worldly things”, even if they spoke the same language. But even so there’s the sense that other worlds are at least symbolically in-world to anybody. E.g. my banker aunt would rather me work in SF tech startups than live on a farm.
You can’t go I need Mystery Romance 3
you didn't even heart the first 2 😭
